Best film I've seen this year!

We watched The Help last weekend. Oh I loved it so much! It made me smile and it made me cry. And the actresses are so amazing. Watch it if you haven't already.

I've started reading the book too. I started reading it when I knew I wanted to see the film, then I couldn't help myself and had to watch the film before I'd finished the book. The book is great too! 

DIY Tequila/Beer Cocktails

So, Desperados is a delicious beer with a taste of Tequila. The other day we watched Nigella Lawson make margarita/beer cocktails and that inspired us to try to make something that tastes like Desperados at home this past weekend.

The successful mix for one pint is:

1 lager of your choice (we used Stella Artois 440ml)

2 Tablespoons of golden Tequila

2 Tablespoons of Lime Cordial

1 Teaspoon of brown sugar crystals

1 lime wedge

Ice

Mix sugar, tequila, lime cordial and lime wedge (squeeze it into the glass and then put the wedge in the glass). Add your lager and ice. Enjoy! *most enjoyable on a sunny summer day*

I found this photo on a blog somewhere and I just love it. I love anything rainbow inspired really. Cupcakes, socks, hair... you name it. I'm pretty sure the colours are painted on in Photoshop but it still makes a cool picture.

Rainy Day//Again.

It is freezing. And raining. Brr. I'm going to use my new big rain coat today so I should be OK but I don't want to go outiside... Awful. And you can't read in the rain. Give me sunshine!

1. Yummy body cream from N-spa. Smells gorgeous!
2. Practical and cute reading light. Works really well, even on paperback books.

3. Just bought this tea from "Make us a brew" over the weekend. Tasty and warming.

Retro//Kitchens

Ohh I love retro kitchens. Orange or turquoise are definately the best colour options for the retro look. We're just buying a new washing machine and I wish I could afford this one.

Beautiful Eclair

Ok I've got a new favourite place for cake! Patisserie Valerie is absolutely gorgeous! The place, the food and the CAKES. Look at this fabulous coffee eclair that I had the other day! A week later I tried the grilled croissant (with cheese and tomato) and the tiramisu cake. All great!
