LOVE/Meryl Streep

Last night I watched a biography documentary about the lovely Meryl Streep. She's so wonderful. Definately the best actress in the world accordning to me (and my mum!). Julianne Moore is second best and Morgan Freeman is best actor! :) Who are your favourites?
Young Meryl totally looks like Natascha McElhone.She's stunning too, of course!

La Maison / Inspirational room

Love the look of this room. It looks very relaxing - I would definately sleep well in there. My teenage room back at my Mum's is painted matte black and it looks great. Two joining walls are black and the other two are matte white. The room is decorated in black and white and red - lots of shiny red. I love it! I wish I could move it to my house!

BOOK

I’ve just finished Laura Jane Cassidy’s debut book Angel Kiss. I bought it a while ago but haven’t had much reading time until now and I really enjoyed this book. I follow Laura’s blog and her progress in her writing but being a few years older than the target audience I wasn’t sure if it would be as good for me as it was for them but I can reassure you that it was. I’m 23 years old and I found this book very interesting, funny and exciting – a page turner!

It’s a murder mystery story, but also a story about family, friends, relationships and being a teenage girl in a new town.

I’m very impressed with Laura Jane Cassidy. She is so young but so talented! She’s a better writer than a lot of bestselling authors out there. Give this a go! I think Laura has a very successful career as an author in front of her.

Hello, Summer!

The new Carmex tube that I'm lusting for inspired this... Bright green and sunny yellow has always been a favourite colour combination of mine. So summery and happy. The book in the middle is "Pojken, Prinsessan och Grönt" - a book I read as a child. It's great. About a boy who hates the colour green... Very original story and very cute.

We have some great weekend plans! Mainly involving awesome food, but also seeing friends we haven't seen in ages and family. Should be good!

Ballerina Shoe Socks//

I finally found these socks that look like shoes and socks from MONKI a couple of weeks ago. Love 'em. So cute. Before I had only seen baby sized socks like these and had been wishing for them to show up somewhere in adult sizes. Sometimes wishes come true...

Milkshakes and books....

My milkshake that I had in town on Thursday. Bounty and whipped cream. It was delicious as usual. There'll be lots of milkshakes this weekend since one of my best friends and favourite milkshake companion is coming to visit me. Yeay! We're milkshake buddies.

The book is a book I started reading on Saturday and over the weekend I've read nearly 200 pages of it which is a lot for me. I normally get through books quite slowly due to the fact that I have about a dozen books on my night stand that I'm reading at the same time and due to the fact that I normally have too much to do to find time for reading at home. But every now and then, a book comes a long that is so easy to get drawn into and this is one of them. SO hopefully I'll find time to continue reading this week. :)

dreaming of an awesome office...

Out and about//

It's been a while. I've been on "holiday" to my country of origin to see family and friends and am now back home. Been back a couple of days and have unpacked and caught up on some school work. Still doing that actually!
Today I'll be going into town for a bit to do some shopping. I need to go to the health food shop, Waterstones and Paperchase, M&S, Boots, a card shop... loads... It's father's day on Sunday so I need to fix some things for my father-in-law-to-be...

Another Tuesday//

Tueday again...we've finally got some sunshine which in England means DO SOME LAUNDRY NOW! When it's sunny you have to make sure you do your laundry because you never know when you'll next get a chance to hang your clothes outside... That's how you enjoy sunny days... :P

Can't wait for the weekend and to relax with my man. To not have the alarm ring at 7 a.m. We normally wake up quite early anyway, 8.30 a.m. or so. Mainly because I'm a real breakfast person who wakes up absolutely starving (even though I always snack late at night!) and can't fall back asleep or relax until I've got some food in my belly!

Tea and school work and laundry

My day... First day off for a while and I'm super busy! Typical! Got some nice things planned for the weekend (Cocktails tonight and nice meal out tomorrow) and the sun is shining so it's still good.

Spring!

• Enjoying loads of tea (Clipper's Green Tea with lemon + Yogi Tea for Women).
• Got new pretty socks from TOPSHOP. Soft and lovely.
• Buttering my lips with The Body Shop's lip butter.
• Dreaming of loose light thin summer t-shirts (note to self: buy some!!).
• Wanting a KÅNKEN Fjällräven Backback. They're cute and classic.
• Oh and looking forward to a Margarita cocktail tonight when I'm going out for dinner with my man.

Caffeine, my love...

I'm doing the impossible, again... I'm trying to break my caffeine addiction, again... I'm not going cold turkey this time though. Just cutting down. A LOT. Hoping that it will help me with some of my health issues. I know caffeine isn't all bad (it's good for avoiding alzheimers and dementia among other things) but I've just been having too much of it, as usual. We'll see how it goes...

All things retro cheer me up

Even laundry can be fun if your laundry room looks like this... I'm still ill! The kind of ill when you can't breathe without nasal spray, your head is exploding, you're cold, you're warm, you loose your voice and your throat has never been this sore... Sounds fun? It's not. Tips?

Red velvet whoopie pie from Starbucks

Got the Starbucks newsletter earlier this week and found out that they are now selling small cakes including WHOOPIE PIES. I love whoopie pies. Just the name is adorable!
I tried the Red Velvet Whoopie Pie yesterday. This cake was delicious! Fresh and soft and sweet.
I did suffer from a migraine for about 5 hours after eating it but it might not be related. Or it could be. They do use a lot of colourings for red velvet things. It was worth it though.

New bath products

I bought these babies yesterday.
The flavours ... scents I mean ... are HOT BUTTER FUDGE (the best!), GINGERBREAD LATTE, CHOCOLATE ORANGE and ANGEL CAKE.

When I'm staying at my mum's house I bathe twice a day at least. Especially now in the winter to warm up. These will be great for all my soaks!

Geek.

I finally own a Starbucks cup! I'm a geek... What made me finally buy one is the fact that they are changing the logo! I like this logo a lot better so I had to buy a cup before the logos changed on them too!

Just checking out Kell On Earth. Always though Kelly Cutrone was entertaining,

3 of each. 3 beauty products I can't live without.

If I could only choose three beauty products that I can't live without it would definately be HAND CREAM, LIP BALM and NAIL POLISH. I can't stand dry lips or hands and I've hated having polish free nails for as long as I can remember.
My favourite lip balms are:

• Body Shop's Lip Butter. Grapefruit at the moment. My fiancé hates it though
  
• Classio Carmex
• Swedish classic Försvarets Hudsalva. Absolutely the best!

The best hand creams are:

• Nivea Age Defying Q10 Plus
• Soap & Glory Endless Glove
• Atrix - another Swedish classic! Great for working hands.

When it comes to nail polish I just buy whatever colour I like the best and am not too fussed about what brand it is.
